This week we're starting out in Prague's city center, near Staroměstské náměstí, or Old Town Square. It's one of the city's most accessible and easily recognizable squares. Getting to Old Town Square: Take Metro Line A (Green), Trams 17 or 18, or Bus 133 to Staroměstská.
Our first stop is the Museum of Decorative Arts. This museum is relatively small and can be seen in its entirety in under two hours. Currently, the temporary exhibition space holds a collection on Baroque Glass and Porcelain pieces, running until the 14th of June, 2009.
The permanent exhibition space holds collections of ceramic and glass works, jewelry, clocks, and more.
The most impressive portion of the permanent collection, in my opinion, was the exhibit on Graphic Design and Print Media. See photo below.

For more information about the Museum of Decorative Arts, including ticket pricing and hours of operation, please visit their website.
Our second stop is an odds and ends antique store by the name of Bric à Brac, located just off Old Town Square on the East side. This place has everything from old typewriters and lamps, to small jewelry pieces, spectacles, etc. It's especially easy to spot thanks to two bicycles parked just outside the door. See photos below.

Feeling a little hungry after the museum and antiques? Check out our third and final stop for today, au Gourmand, located just around the corner from Bric à Brac. This quaint little café serves up everything from fresh baguette sandwiches to home made chocolate chip cookies (my favorite in Prague). See photos below.

Don't be too rushed getting to the places I mention here, though. Take your time and enjoy the beautiful architecture, sculpture, and of course the magnificent view of Vltava River.

That would be one fantastic day in Prague. I bet I could do some major damage in that little shop. Those sammiches look mighty tasty too!
